AERO 40 Disc ^Sale

Our new for 2019 Aero 40 disc brake wheelset is based on our previous Fast and Light 40 carbon fiber wheelset. We have had our engineers working hard to create a better wheelset than our FL series wheels, it was not easy for them, but our new Aero range is fantastic if we do say so ourselves.

Our FL series was constructed using Toray T700 carbon fiber, and this allowed us to build you a light, strong, stiff, and reliable tubeless ready rim. We knew we wanted to keep these features and our blunt aero shape but lose some weight.

That is why our new Aero 40 is constructed using a mix of Toray T700 and T800 carbon fiber. By mixing the carbon and working on a new layup, we were able to save around 100g per wheelset. We were also able to keep the stiffness and strength that made the FL series such a great seller.

To maximize our lightweight but stiff rim there was only one set of spokes we could think about using for this wheelset, and that is the aero Sapim CX-Ray spokes. These spokes are titanium light, but unlike titanium, they do not flex.

Hub wise we are installing our own ICAN D01 disc brake hubset. These sealed bearing hubs are designed to be reliable and lightweight. You can also pick from either Centrelock or 6 bolt rotor fitting, choose the hub to match your brake rotors.

We also include as standard our two-year warranty on all of our Aero wheels.

Wide Rim Tech

25mm rim wide creates a better, more stable support, while the shape of the tire and rim together creates regular, stable air flow, in short, more aerodynamics, less attrition. provides an ideal basis for 25/28mm tires, the sizes currently popular.

2-Way Clincher Tubeless. Tubes or No-Tubes

Use either traditional tires with tubes, or tubeless tires without tubes. Tubeless tires can provide lower rolling resistance and better protection from punctures.

Sapim CX-RAY As light as a titanium spoke

This wheelset has been certified and approved by the UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale), for use in UCI sanctioned road races.
